POSITIVE BEHAVIOR INTERVENTION SYSTEM (PBIS)
This is our seventh year working on and improving our school’s Positive Behavior Intervention System. PBIS is a school wide comprehensive system that motivates to help others and treat others with respect. The key factor for this program to be successful is consistency. Children are learning about different character traits. In September, we worked on “RESPONSIBILITY”. Now in October, we will focus on the character trait of “COURAGE”. Students will learn to do the right thing even when it gets difficult. Students earn tickets for positive behavior. They can use the tickets to “buy” prizes at our PBIS store every Thursday.
