GET READY FOR THE PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCE
School conferences are a great way for parents and teachers to learn more about children. This is also a good time for you to tell the teacher important things about your child. The key to a successful conference parents and teachers agree, is two-way communication. By exchanging information, parents and teachers can set the stage for a great school year.
FREE UNIFORM DISTRIBUTION
We are a uniform school. All students must wear a yellow shirt and blue pants/skirt to school every day. We are working on a schedule for the free gym uniform and yellow polo pick up for those parents that weren’t able to attend our Magnet Kick-Off Event. Notices will be going home with grade, date and time for distribution of the school uniform. Please note that only parents can come to pick up school uniforms. Free uniforms cannot be returned so be sure you have the correct size before you leave the school. Additional uniforms will be available for purchasing in December.
COLLECTING PERISHABLES FOR THE HOLIDAYS
The school will be collecting can goods and dry foods, from November 1st to December 15th to prepare baskets for some of our families in need.
SAVE FOR COLLEGE PROGRAM
Opt-Out Notice Kindergarten and newly enrolled first and second grade parents will be receiving an opt-out notice. If you do not wish for your child to participate in the Save for College Program, you must complete and sign the form and return it to your child’s teacher by November 30th. Please see Ms. Mendez, Parent Coordinator for more details.
